Afrobeats superstar Davido says meeting American R&B singer Chris Brown in 2018 was a turning point in his career. Davido shared the story of their first encounter on a recent episode of the Bagfuel Brigade podcast.
“Meeting Chris Brown changed my life,” Davido said. It all started with a FaceTime call from one of Chris Brown’s close friends, who happened to be Nigerian. Davido’s music was playing in the background, and Chris Brown was dancing to it!
The friend handed the phone to Chris Brown, and that’s how the two artists first connected. A few months later, they met in person in America and quickly became friends. Davido credits this encounter with boosting his career.
